The Rudge Book of the Road is a handbook with press-stud clasp to keep it fastened.  On the title page there is the name of a previous owner dated May 1927.  There is also an ink stamp from the agent:  Glanfield Lawrence (Motors) Ltd of Tottenham Court Road W1.  The book was published by Rudge Whitworth Ltd of Coventry.  The book was intended as a comprehensive guide for the Rudge motorcycle owner with advice on how to understand the weather, daylight hours, lay of the land etc.
